AEGEA - LINK
This is your common, garden variety Sunday afternoon mix, inspired in this case by a recent week in Athens where I got to enjoy some really great music and food and to see the beautiful Aegean Sea in all its sapphire glory. This is a close-to-2.5 hr trip from deep into progressive and is as seamless as I could make it. I find long breakdowns in progressive house annoying and so this is almost hypnotic, relentless yet beautiful at the same time. If I had to pick one style that encompasses my DJing style, this is it. Long 2-3 minute mixes, lots of loops, filters, restrained use of effects and a layered approach to mixing tunes together. Had I had more time I think I could have done another 2.5hrs on a trip into some deep, progressive trance as well. Ah well, another day perhaps.
I hope you enjoy it.

FORGET TO REMEMBER SESSIONS III - LINK
I very nearly sold my decks this week. DJing has been on the wane for me for a while but Ive decided to keep them around for moments like last night where I just jumped on the decks and lost myself for 90 minutes or so. This is what came out. Its a heady blend of the music I do best - quite full on proggy, deep house with a techy, thinky edge. Hope you enjoy it.
What do you think? Did I make the right decision?
This one goes out to Sal and Olivia.
FORGET TO REMEMBER SESSIONS II (CLICK FOR LINK)
The first FTR session mix was arguably my most ambitious to date and certainly the most popular - both the people who listened to it said they didn’t hate it. It was a watershed moment. I was so proud.
So as promised and much delayed, here is instalment two of the series. This is a tighter and more focused journey from progressive and deep house, taking in some fun and obscure records you hopefully wont have heard before (and a few you will know very well!), flirting with some tech goodness and eventually accelerating eventually into some headier, trancier realms. I really enjoyed mixing it. It is a sprawling, almost four hour beast of a mix that sees me in my element, technically, albeit still with a few mistakes - sorry. We have tracks here from Anjuna, Bedrock, Afterlife, Discover and many others. Anyway, hope you like it.
This is dedicated to my sister Charlie in Australia who I am finally going to see, very soon.
Cant wait.

House Retrospective One (click for link)
Here I am, back with a mix that is probably not what you were expecting from me but sometimes that’s a good thing, right?
This is a little glance back at some classic soulful house tunes, mostly remixes and some shameless samples of older records but not all, there are disco loops, soulful divas, funky baselines that make you want to wiggle, plus pianos for daaaaaays… This is why we all love classic house music.
I’ve tried to keep it fresh and with a contemporary vibe to it for all you podium dancers and living room prancers.
It is often the way when you have a spell away from the decks that when you go back to them you really enjoy it a lot more and frankly, this was an absolute blast to mix.
For those of you after some tech, proggy goodness - stay tuned, I have some epic tune-age coming up very soon.
This one goes out to Chris and Bianca Todd. Top, legendary tunes for top, legendary people. Enjoy it.

Welcome To The Fun House
A fun homage to the centre of the house universe, in my opinion.
A bit more diverse that you are used to for house music for me, reflecting the diversity of New York as a place and also musically. Lot going on here. Tinges of acid, piano, funk, soul, tech house, deeper grooves and a bit of old fashioned euphoria toward the end. I take huge pleasure in dropping the legendary Masters At Work new tune Mattel which is not what anyone expected, but is thoroughly absorbing. Check out that baseline.
Some driving techno coming up next for you very soon but until then stay safe and stay nice.
A Rich Form Of Vein
If Blue Sky Trance was me in my 20s (euphoric, on the feckless side of carefree and full of mistakes hahaha) this is me in my 40s. Technically better, a bit more considered and, dare I say it, happier.
Some fantastic tech-house here for probably a wider appeal than my progressive or techno mixes have. Leaning unashamedly on the latest Toolroom releases but with some little gems I’ve managed to find and have been digging a lot lately, this is a lot of fun.
The second installment of Forget To Remember Sessions is on the way in a few days too so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, stay safe, love one another and keep the volume turned up.
Big shout out to my best mate Don, who I love very much and am hugely relieved to still have around. And who will hate this. :) But Lady G. might dig it hahahahaha.

Blue Sky Trance
Had a couple of beers last night and threw a few of the newer trance tunes that I've been enjoying lately together in a 90 minute, carefree sort of hands in the air mix that is so euphoric, I hope you'll forgive the "couple of beers" mixing in a couple of cases. Ive listened to it back and I genuinely don't care about the ragged transitions or moment when my cat walked across the deck...
Its just carefree, hedonistic, big room trance for those days when nothing seems impossible and your future is as wide as the sky above you. I've missed those days. I reckon you have too.
This is summer blue sky trance in a mix form. I really enjoyed this and again listening to it back. Hope you like it too.
It harks to a couple of months time when we'll all be free of this lockdown and able to enjoy ourselves outside in freedom. Love it.
Tech-house mix up next. Stay safe until then.

Got Your Back
This is my first mix since last summer.
We start off here with some progressive vibes, some lush soundscapes to kick things off, then a really nice change of tack with Eternal Summer; an absolute banger from Dosem out this month.
Then, as you've come to expect from me, we shift through the techno gears, picking up the pace and ending in some proper big room techno that could almost be trancey. See what you think. Last up we have the mighty Rudosa mix of my favourite tune of last year; the unstoppable Hammer by Fatima Hajji.
|ts great to be back. Ive got a lush progressive trance mix coming next week, so stay safe and love each other until then.

Forget To Remember Sessions - 1 (click for link)
This is a nearly-three hour long epic of a three deck mix that really takes you on a journey. There’s some deep house, a little bit of minimal, some electro in there, some progressive techno, some progressive house, some samples, banging techno and a hint of acid techno at the end. Its all there. The idea is for a really good office or travelling mix that you can really fall into. I think it does that rather nicely. You can lose yourself in this one, trust me.
Its been a tough few weeks so it was nice to get away from my thoughts behind the decks and bring you something a bit different.
On one of the tunes I cued up with the fader up (its been a long week!) lets see if the eagle-eared amongst you can pick it out!
Hope you like this one. A four hour classic trance special to follow next week. Until then, stay safe, love each other and enjoy the set.

Still Here (click for link)
Still Here. Reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. This is a 90 minute collection of some new and nearly new trance tunes that I’ve been building up for a few weeks, ending of course with the obligatory classic; the seminal White Room by Adam White and Andy Moor. Elsewhere we have not one but two records off the new Marsh EP, two Above & Beyond records and a while lot of driving, melodic trance. Those who know me know I don’t like too many vocals in my trance mixes, so this was something of a departure. There are loads in here! Everyone can change, right? :)
There is undoubtedly a lot of dross being released these days under trance labels but this mix hopefully proves that there are still some absolute gems to be found if you know where to look. Don’t you just hate it when everyone writes off the thing you love, without knowing all the facts and taking time to understand their own opinion? Yeah, me too.
This one goes out to everyone who has been written off and cast aside, but who are very much alive and kicking.
I’ve got a banging techno playlist sorted for next week, but might sneak it in this week if I get time. Stay tuned, this one is not to be missed. Until then, stay safe. Peace.
Reborn (click for link)
This is a trademark recorded live Chris Morgan mix, starting out on a proggy, tech-house sort of vibe, picking up the pace, slipping through the gears and ending up in some proper techno naughtiness across the expanse of a two hour session.
There are a lot of new tunes in here, including from the likes of Danny Howells, Laurent Garnier, Darmec and that man James Solace who is on fire lately. We end with some banging techno goodness from Slam, Fatima Hajji and SP-X. Seriously, get a load of that Slam tune. :) We like! We like! We like!
The first track is Ten2, my first foray into the realm of production under the guise of Boogerloo (please be nice); a lush, proggy arrangement with yours truly providing the filtered sample speech in the background, designed to evoke a wistful backwards glance at the memories we have made because of dance music. As we charge off into the techno I wanted to get across the message that I am reborn as a DJ because of techno, ending with a suitable sample from a very familiar movie.
Also trademark here are the long transitions, loops and layered beats with me finally showing that I have settled into the Xone-96 and am really getting the best out of those four channel EQs and filters. It really is a wonderful bit of kit and I absolutely love using it.
You’ll enjoy this one, I think. :)

Clouds (click for link)
This is a proggy, laid back hour or so that plays in my preferred space: the grey area gap between techno, trance and progressive house.
It kicks off with me playing about with slightly clipped and heavily filtered series of drum, high, synth, effects and strings samples sequenced on the Akai Force to form a first tune of sorts; really just a nice lead into the looped clicky first phrase or two of Dancing In Dark rooms by one of my favourite artists, Quivver. His work appears no fewer than three times in this mix.
Again this is a live recorded mix with no hocus pocus, just the truth. And it shows in places :) I’d rather be dropping a beat here or there than not doing things properly as I always have. This is a great thing to love, it deserves the respect.
Another mix planned for this weekend, but until then stay safe and be nice to each other.

Relax (click for link)
I got home from the pub and - feeling very relaxed, hence the title - I thought I’d get behind the decks for an hour or so. This is the result. Just a little selection of the great techno that has come out in the last month or so, plus a stone cold fox of a pure classic from Slam. This is just some great techno and some fun deep accapellas which I’ve layered over the top like a third track, plus some film quotes to keep things interesting. I’m exploring using three decks at a time and have really been pushing myself. I’m really liking how these are sounding.
After a few weeks of mixing trance which doesn’t suit my mixing style, it was a relief to get back into some proper technical techno which does. I wasn’t going to put this one online but I think you’ll agree it turned out very nicely.
Sometimes the really great mixes are the unplanned ones you just fire up the decks and do spontaneously. This is a great example. Enjoy. :)
Climb To Altitude (click for link)
The trance mix I did at the end of last week was very popular. So much for trance being dead eh?
This is a more sedate affair, much in the same vein as Lush and Requiem but with a longer and more euphoric trance ending. Some of the mixing in this one is truly dreadful, sorry :)
You’ll notice as a theme I’ve put a few layers of different air traffic control samples, some jet noises and such into this one, and it ends with Sky by Solarstone which has a sample in it about a guy laying back on a flight, looking out the window and taking in the view from 38,000 feet.
I've had terrible wanderlust lately and have been daydreaming about taking a flight to somewhere, anywhere. This is a peon of sorts to that.
Enjoy.

Mojo (click for link)
Just a classic trance mix, no frills. The sort of thing I used to do all the time years ago with close friends. An unashamedly peak time trance fest, nothing clever just a lot of fun. I needed a lift after a tough day where I temporarily lost my mojo. Hence the name.
I thought the other day how much I'd like to have a classic trance mix from back in the day to listen to when I need something a little up-tempo, dare I say, when I need something to make me smile? Something to get your mojo back?
This will do it.
Great for the car, the gym, a run, work...
Dedicated to the one and only Don Gibson, who is the first person I think of when I hear these tunes. Lets have a boys night in soon.

Requiem (click for link)
Its been a pretty sad time for the world in general since my last mix. We embark again on another slow and progressive mix as I really enjoyed the last one. This one is a similar sort of journey but moodier somehow. Or maybe that’s me. Maybe it’s what is going on out there that makes it feel that way. But it does have a happy ending; a rising, triumphant finale that lifts you out of the hypnosis. And isn’t that what music is for? For giving you hope that there is hope?
It is all new tunes this week and I’ve been so impressed with the quality of the progressive house that is being released just lately. It really is amazing. I cannot do justice to it. This is just a tiny taste.
I’ve started week 2 of a juice detox today so am not on the top of my game and sadly it does show on some of the mixing here. Sorry about that. There are a couple of dodgy moments but I hope they don’t spoil your enjoyment of the mix. If nothing else it does prove that I don’t cheat on the beat matching and am at least trying to do things properly, thinking about what I’m playing, mixing live by ear, without using the Sync buttons or a laptop etc: the old fashioned way. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, as I like to say. Technically I’ve never been the best. But I like to think my record selection and the way I put my mixes together does make up for it to an extent. You can be the judge but I hope you enjoy it, regardless of the couple of spots of cringe. :)
You may be able to hear I pushed myself technically a bit on this one, there are a few loops, use of a third deck, adding some sample layers and the mix debut of my (amazing!) new Akai Force sampler/sequencer which as you can hear, I am still finding my way around.
I’ll be back next week with a driving techno mix that has been a couple of weeks in the offing. I also have a Northern Exposure tribute mix in the pipeline which will be fun. Until then, stay safe.

ISOLATION ACCLIMATISATION SESSIONS: FOUR (click for link)
As promised last week I slowed it down and went all progressive. This is me at my most comfortable behind the decks, my mixing style suits this kind of music down to the ground and I found myself really stretching the Xone-96. The result is a near-90 minute mix I’m really happy with.
I really hope you enjoy listening to it.
This is a proper musical journey the likes of which you don’t really see that often any more. We start off deep, hypnotic and dreamy and as the mix progresses we add some lush soundscapes and irresistible melodies as the BPM very gently increases. Expect some absolutely beautiful new (and recent) stuff from the likes of Sasha, Soul Button, Danny Howells, the mighty Tale Of Us, Dave Seaman, Jody Wisternoff, Clavis, James Zabiela and the Anjunadeep boys. as well as the new Toasted EP from Khainz which was released this week.
We finish off almost on a slow trance sort of vibe, with two newer mixes of Foreplay and Blueberry by Probspot which for those who know me, know they are two of my all time favorite Proggy trance records and I’ve been playing them since I had them on vinyl! Here we see some great remix action from Paul Hawcroft and Daniel Wanrooy. This one is dedicated to my sister Charlie in Airlie Beach in Australia.
This is beautiful. Check it out.

This is techno very much in the theme of my last couple of mixes but (mostly) different tunes. Was a lot of fun. You know what you are getting by now: pounding base, long, technical transitions and synths. Lots of glorious synths. Its a warm up set in many ways as it starts off slower and gets quite banging by the end without being big room, peak time bosh. I hope you enjoy it.
Eagle-earned spotters amongst you will recognize the last tune as one of the bangers off last week's Hurry Up mix. Although I like to keep things fresh and not repeat tunes, some simply demand it. What a tune! :)
Next IA Session I'm going to slow things down and go a bit deep and proggy as I've really enjoyed some of the new progressive tunes out last week and have the makings of a really good mix so keep your eyes peeled for that one. Until then, stay safe and keep happy.

Sometimes its good to leave the House....
This is a no-holds-barred techno extravaganza, touching on some progressive techno, there's some acid in there, some bits you might not expect, and a whole lot of pounding bass and hypnotic dark techno that you probably will. These are all new or newish techno tunes that I've picked out from the recent fine new releases. Hope you like them.
Again, this is recorded live in my flat with no cheating, no synch, no post-production messing around - its just the tunes as nature intended, straight out of the mixer. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Which is my way of apologising for the odd ropey mix.
This one goes out to my main man Brad Freeman for his birthday. Happy birthday fella. Hope you enjoy this one pal. I think you may well do...

Recorded live in front of a live audience of four spectacularly disinterested cats from right here in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
As with all my mixes, there’s no Sync, no post-production editing, no cheating; just the tunes the way nature intended.
This is a walk through the house to the techno in the back garden, so to speak. ;)

October 2018 - The Wave
A progressive journey into the things that make you smile in dark rooms and in places of beauty. Not that the two are mutually exclusive but you get the idea...
Recorded live with some friends, again, no post-mix editing, beat match synching (it shows lol) or funny business just me and three decks and some seriously cool deep and throbbing progressive tunes. First new mix I've done for over a year so be nice! This one goes out to my mate Dan N - stay strong brother. Hope this makes you smile.
